Prepare for your healthiest possible conception and child.
Starting your family is one of the most exciting times of your life. Having a child ranks as one of the most life-changing and rewarding decisions you will ever make. For some lucky couples, the road to parenthood is smooth and short. Unfortunately, a lot of couples find the road is filled with anxiety and stress as they discover getting pregnant is more difficult and takes longer than they originally thought.
CONCEPTION FACT: The healthier you are, the greater your chances of conceiving and carrying a child full-term. Ideally, you should take at least three to six months getting healthy and preparing your body for conception. Many women don’t realise it takes approximately four months for your body to mature one egg or make one sperm. This means it will take at least this time for the changes you make to completely take effect.
Preparing well means a more trouble-free pregnancy and birth,
as well as a healthier baby.
The three main factors that affect healthy conception are the state of your health, the quality of your diet and the type of lifestyle you lead.
I have worked with many women who had lost all hope and are now proud mums. However, it took commitment to look at the mental and emotional issues that stood in the way of them having their baby.
Are You Infertile?
Infertility generally means an inability to conceive, but there are many reasons why you may not be able to become pregnant, and many of these may be temporary. A diagnosis of infertility does not necessarily mean that you will always be infertile. It simply means that there is a problem that needs to be addressed. In my experience, if you are given the right advice to boost your fertility, chances are you can become pregnant.
When you are trying to conceive it is very easy for negative thoughts to crowd your mind. I have seen this happen as early as a few weeks after starting on the journey, often triggered by the first negative pregnancy test.
Your body will only be able to conceive and grow a whole, new person when the conditions are right. It will always act in your best interest according to the information it has available.
Your body’s decision to conceive and sustain a pregnancy may be influenced by:
- Your current health: Are you anemic, over or underweight or taking medication? Do you have an irregular cycle?
- Your lifestyle: Would a pregnancy, and then a baby, fit into your life right now? Do you work long hours, drink to excess? Are you in a stable, supportive relationship?
- Your emotional state: How do you feel about your infertility? And how do you really feel about the thought of pregnancy and the responsibility of parenthood?
Your fertility and your need to have children is an extremely emotional subject. All too often the focus is on information, tests, procedures and results. Unfortunately, the emotional part of the fertility journey is usually ignored or, at best, given a cursory mention.
I can offer you the treatment and the emotional support that you require.
A healthy body increases your chances of conception.
Taking a holistic approach to your fertility means looking at your mind and your body equally. This leads to a more positive fertility experience and a greater chance of a successful conception and healthy pregnancy. We all know now that our emotional health has an impact on our physical health (including our fertility) but sometimes we may not be 100% clear exactly why this is.
Your thinking impacts every area of your life. Your behavior, your decision-making and your happiness are all the result of your thinking. Your thoughts while experiencing infertility can cause you to become stressed, anxious and even depressed, which then has a negative impact on your fertility.
Understanding that your general health and the way you live your life has a direct impact on your fertility is important, and it is the first stage of any treatment plan.
Your body has the innate, natural potential to create a healthy baby. But you must get it ready both physically and emotionally.
My goal is to develop a plan for you to take control over your reproductive health and prime you for pregnancy by balancing your system.
What you do at home is equally, if not more important than what happens in your session with me. With my expertise and guidance, you’ll know exactly what to do in your daily life to successfully conceive. The sooner you begin, the more time we have to prepare your body for a successful outcome.
